Contra to make a COMEBACK
If you're a 90's kid then I'm sure ... You're drawn into Nostalgic memory when u hear of the word CONTRA. Yess!!! Those long hours spent on your neighbor's couch does bring back memories.
We'll for others who've not heard about Contra, it was an action video game which captured every kids heart, mind ,soul and yes time. Video games development was in its nascent phase back then. The simplicity of the game is what caught the imagination of every kid back in the 90's.
Released back in 1987 Contra became a household name by the 90's and now Contra developers TiMi Studios have hinted at a possible worldwide release of Contra Returns. The promise has been brought forward in a recent tweet by the firm, in which it also asks the fans for ideas to make it “the best that it can be.”
As per the developers, Contra Returns has enjoyed much success in countries where it has been available since launch. The developers now want to replicate this success in other nations across the globe.
Contra Returns was originally launched in China in 2017. Following the launch, it made its way to Taiwan in 2018 and then to other Southeast Asian countries later that year.With years of nostalgia associated with the game for many, Contra Returns became a hit on mobile devices in nearly all the markets. The recent tweet by TiMi Studios confirmed that.TiMi Studios tweeted - “Contra Returns has been a hit for mobile devices in parts of the world and we are looking into a potential wider release!”
To make the game even more immersive, the makers have given fans the opportunity to suggest ideas, and have advised to take a short survey which they've set to get the gameplay to be of the best and be competent to survive competition.
The survey consists of eight straight up questions asking users about the games they play currently and the devices they play it on. It can be assumed that the developers are gunning for a better device suitability for the upcoming version of the game.
As of now, Contra Returns is not available on Google Play Store (or Apple App Store) in India. As and when the company decides to bring it to the country, it is sure to taste much success with the huge population of youth in India that was once hooked on to its arcade version.
TiMi Studios, however, has not shared a timeline as to when the game will be released and in which regions. All we can do is wait n watch.
