Motorola Looking to Launch The Edge Lite in Coming Months,Leaks ,Specs And release
In 2020 Motorola have been launching large number of phones in all price range segments. The Razr catered to the niche segment of foldables while the Edge+ came as a conventional flagship with Motorola’s personal touches. With motorola recently launching the moto Edge+, The Company now wants to launch a Lite version of the same device with a midrange Snapdragon processor but flaunting the same curved display.
According to sources motorola could launch it in the Us, India and Brazil later in the year. Noted tipster Mukul Sharma shared the FCC certification documents for the edge Plus while Ishan Agarwal revealed the name of the device. Nashville Chatter came up with more details on the device, highlighting the battery capacity.
The phone will support 5G network and hence will have the Snapdragon 765G Chipset. This is the same chip as the regular version of the Edge, hence performance shouldn’t be an issue. It will support a 6GB ram along with 128GB of storage which is common amongst motorola phones.The device will be powered by a 4700mAh battery rather than the 5000mAh battery, It will also come with 18W fast charging.
The screen will be a 6.7" 1080x2520 panel with 21:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate or 60Hz, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. A dual hole-punch cutout gets top-left positioning for an 8 MP selfie camera and a 2 MP depth sensor next to it.
There’s nothing about the rest of the phone, which raises a lot of speculations. The Edge and Edge+ are premium phones in all their might and a Lite version could end up having a couple of compromises. Since the Snapdragon 765G chip is going to remain on the phone, Motorola could scale down the display. Maybe the steeply curved display could make way for a flat 60Hz AMOLED display but retain all of the Edge+ shortcuts.
Motorola may also reduce the specs of the camera by replacing the 64-megapixel main camera with a older 48-megapixel Samsung sensor and three more cameras 16MP,8MP,5MP.
The Motorola Edge Lite will be available in Prussian,Surfing Blue, Azury, Soft White Color versions.With the Edge Lite, Motorola could aim for several developing markets where pricing is a mega concern. Countries like Brazil, China and India could get the Edge Lite as a more premium offering over the One Fusion+.
